Baxi boiler type range

There are three different types of Baxi boilers available which includes combi, system and heat-only (also referred to as regular or conventional) but they are only available on gas. We’ve compiled more information about each of the boiler types available at Baxi below.

New Baxi combi range

Baxi are one of the most trusted suppliers of combi boilers in the UK, including popular series such as EcoBlue and Duo-tec. With outputs ranging from 24kW up to 40kW there is a suitable boiler for a variety of different sized homes.

If you’re interested in getting a Baxi boiler installed in your home, you’ll want to know the typical price range of Baxi boilers first. Baxi combi boilers start from £574.80 and increase in price up to £1,233.71, however the cost of installation will vary depending on the conditions of your current system and home. The manufacturer-backed warranty of Baxi combi boilers are also very generous ranging between 2 and 10 years.

New Baxi system range

Baxi system boilers are typically installed in larger homes that require more hot water than a combi boiler would be able to provide for efficiency. The system range on offer by Baxi includes the EcoBlue and Megaflo series which range in output from 12kW to 32kW and all come with a 7-year manufacturer-backed warranty.

The prices of a Baxi system boiler range from £808.30 to £1,131.03 with the cheapest being the Megaflo System 15 and the most expensive being the EcoBlue System 32.

New Baxi heat-only range

Also referred to as conventional or regular boilers, Baxi offer an extensive range of heat only boilers suitable for small to medium sized homes. The kW output of the Baxi heat-only boilers range from 12kW to 30kW. Baxi heat-only boilers can have up to two water tanks; a large cold water storage tank, and a small feed and expansion tank.

Baxi conventional boilers start from £630 with the 212 Heat 12kW and range to the EcoBlue Advance Heat 30kW which is £950.74. The heat-only boilers come with a manufacturer-backed warranty of up to 7 years.

What is the Baxi range suitable for?

Baxi have an extensive range of combi, heat-only and system boilers meaning that despite the size of your property, there is likely a boiler model that will be suitable. When it comes to deciding on what boiler you need, one of the most important factors is the kW output. The output you need is determined by the number of radiators, bathrooms and rooms that you have.

Generally, the larger the property or the higher the demand for heat and hot water, the higher the kW output is typically required to operate efficiently. A boiler with 12kW would be typically best suited to a small terraced house or flat, whereas a boiler with 40kW would typically best suit a large detached house with multiple bathrooms. If you’re unsure as to the kW output you require, here is a basic guide:
